about

I would like to thank my friends who all had a part in inspiring, discovering, and forming this album. Our experiences with each other have helped turn "Quintessential" into what I consider a real piece of art.

I began working on this album around the fall of 2004. It's been a long and at times, frustrating road to venture on. I'd like to thank my friend Pete (DJ Nice Rec) for helping in the recording process. Of course, what we recorded were older and lower quality recordings, but that struggle to "get it right" has left foot prints all over this album. Thanks to J Pitts as well, for sitting through, what at times were horrendous recording sessions. I'd like to thank my mother and father for the endless love and support they've shown me, not only in life, but in what I've made encompass most of it, music. Love and thanks to my brother Dylan. We've put together some not so good and not so bad shows in the past year or so. I'm glad you've gotten involved. You've helped a lot by bringing new fans to the table and new ears to the venue. Special thanks and love to my Aunt Patricia. The records you gave me helped in a few songs, particularly, "Take My Hand." They also opened me up to several artists I had not heard of before. To Solid Ground Entertainment: we're "a concrete brotherhood mayne'!" Thanks to Chad and EMS for bringing their talents and abilities to the Swamp. They are forever free, pacing in the more marvelous avenues of "Quintessential." Special thanks to Scotty Coles, Ulliversal, Brazen, and my good friend Chris Craven for exposing your talents to me and the rest of the people who have heard or will hear what I like to call, "Quintessential." This album is dedicated to the souls of Mary Jane Postlewaite and Emily Ann Arbogast.

about

Proseed Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Proseed began emceeing in ’98 at the age of 14, the year Gang Starr put out Moment of Truth and the year Black Star debuted. It could have been the magic of the late nineties, or the teenage need to rebel, but whatever the reason, Proseed started to live the life of a politically-charged, clear-headed lyricist.
